This year, Year 6 went on an amazing trip to Oxford Castle: we went into ancient prison cells, a cript (basement) and we also had a fascinating tour around the old castle (now a hotel) and we even had a sneak peek of the new hotel rooms there. We also went into the punishment room and imagined how horrible it must have been a few hundred years ago to be in there all alone in the pitch black for 3-20 days! Also, there was around 1000 cells 200 years ago ;however, some of them got destroyed by previous battles that were 100’s of years ago. Furthermore, we also got a chance to climb over 100 stairs! That was tiring! Finally we all got onto the coach to go home and as we got back to school we felt exhausted after such an exciting and tiring day!
